Pine Bush Equine Services and Dr. Herb Burns would like to take this opportunity to introduce Dr. Michael W. Ross as a new partner in the business. As many of you may already know, Dr. Ross has been coming to Pine Bush to do surgery and consult on lame horses for 30 years. Dr. Ross is looking forward to his new role as managing partner of the practice and looks forward to working with you.

Dr. Burns and Pine Bush Equine Services are looking forward to some new changes and with these changes, new advances in equine health services. Dr. Ross is a graduate of Cornell University’s New York State College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center where he has practiced for 37 years. Dr. Ross developed the nuclear scintigraphy program at New Bolton Center and has been its director ever since. He is the author of over 420 scientific publications including Ross and Dyson’s lameness textbook with companion CD, Diagnosis and Management of Lameness in the Horse. This book is the result of over 37 years of study and interest in clinical examination, imaging and management of the lame horse. During his career at the University, Dr. Ross would consult at Pine Bush Equine Services and even introduced Dr. Burns to Dr. Howard Gill in 1992. Dr. “Doc” Gill, as you may know, was the founder of Pine Bush Equine Services. He retired in 2000 but as they say, the rest is history. Dr. Ross has proven his expertise and loyalty over his many years of working with Dr. Burns and Doc Gill.

Dr. Burns and Dr. Ross are proud to call each other friends and have been working together for 26 years and are hopeful of many more to come. We are proud to have Dr. Ross as an asset to Pine Bush Equine Services and we know his contributions will show in our service to you.
