Dr. Elaine LaRoche

Dr. Elaine LaRoche is an associate veterinarian at Pine Bush Equine Services & Veterinary Hospital. She grew up in Topeka, Kansas, and earned both her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from nearby Kansas State University. Following graduation, she spent a year in Aiken, South Carolina where she completed an internship at an equine specialty hospital. Her professional interests include lameness, rehabilitation, chiropractic care, acupuncture, surgery, emergency medicine, and preventative care.

Dr. LaRoche was introduced to horses at a young age and quickly developed a lifelong passion for them. She spent years working for a local trainer in exchange for riding lessons, eventually having the opportunity to own her first horse. She used to frequent local hunter/jumper shows, but now mostly rides for pleasure. She hopes to one day get back into competition. She spent several years working as a stable hand at local stables, eventually expanding her experience by spending a spring as a Thoroughbred broodmare groom at the prestigious Lane’s End Farm in Kentucky.

In her free time she loves to hang out with her cat, read a good book or do something artsy, and spend as much time in the saddle as she can. Dr. LaRoche is excited to bring her passion for lifelong learning and commitment to high-quality veterinary medicine to the Pine Bush Equine community.
